Benoit Lapray :The Quest for the Absolute. Superheroes finding peace in Nature
The Quest for the Absolute, is Benoit Lapray’s ongoing series of Superheroes captured in quite moments against the backdrop of remote nature scenes. Lapray, a Paris based photographer, started this project last year and has been adding to the collection ever since. He digitally blends the beloved superheroes with amazing landscape photographs. The results are these very unusual images, that show the likes of Batman, Hulk and Spider-man far away from the usual busy surroundings and place them in solitude, around large mountains, oceans and woods. A nice look behind the scenes into the busy life of a superhero.

Simon Stalenhag
Simon Stalenhag is a swedish painter who specializes on sci-fi painting. Most of his paintings show a rural sweden in the mid 80s. Seemingly normal and mundane lives are shown, children playing and exploring the countryside or just simple panoramas. What makes these painting so special are the robots, hovercrafts or decaying large alien buildings that are placed in this very normal scandinavian countryside. Check out his website and his work
